    SWEET CINNAMON BISCUITS

    RECIPE PROVIDED BY DIANE WILLIAMS

  • 2 cups sifted flour ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbs. baking powder ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt 1 stick butter
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup milk

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda in medium bowl. Mix well. Stir in oil. Add buttermilk and stir until blended.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough into a 15x8 inch rectangle.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 9” round baking pan. Spread butter over the dough. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the dough. Roll like jelly roll and pinch end to seal. Cut roll into 1 1/2” slices. Arrange slices cut side up in pan. Bake 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven. Pour milk over hot biscuits and serve warm. Enjoy!
