TIPS/COMMENTS BY STAN
The 2005 Mustangs have been out for a while and I know that several people in our Club have ordered them. What I have not heard is how many have actually gotten them. How do they (you) like them? They seem to be a popular car especially here in Florida. When you go to a dealer here in Florida they only have 6 cylinder ones, and only 2 or 3 of those. The V8 seems hard to come by.
As a re-organized club we are starting our second year and from where I sit things look good and seem to be rolling along nicely. Were there mistakes made in the first year? Well of course there were. Whenever people undertake new things there are bound to be mistakes. The board has tried to eliminate them and make it right for everyone. Basically, we all have the same goal, and that is to enjoy our cars. This is your Club and if you have any concerns please contact any board member.
This is also your newsletter so if you have any comments, articles or anything else you would like to see in the newsletter you can e-mail us at the address on the front. All ads are free to members. You can even write short articles or opinions and they will printed.
Please remember May 21st as this is our Show and Shine at All American Ford in Saginaw. We have been trying to get sponsorship from a Ford dealer in this area and a good turn out would sure help. It gives us all a chance to chat and more chat and maybe clean our cars. We might even get a free hot dog.
I would like to take this time to personally thank Jack Morton for all the hard work on the website. Everything that we did last year is on there, from the hayride to the Christmas party with lots of pictures.
Our 2005 show flyer for our September show is on there. You or anyone else can download the flyer by going to the website and clicking on “show flyer”. The website address is: www.mustangclubmm.com.

MUSTANG CLUB OF MID-MICHIGAN MEETING 02-21-05
The February meeting was called to order by President, Gary Strappazon at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth at 7:10 pm.
Those in attendance were: Gary & Linda Strappazon, Dick Lebsack, Chris Jansen, Lova & Charles Reinhardt and Tim Mace. There were no guests present. All members in attendance have their dues paid for 2005.
Proxies received from Gregg Glaviano, Stan Bentley and Diane Williams. With the proxies and the two Board members present the quorum for the meeting was met.
Our newest members are Steve & Mary Ellen Johnson. They have a 1965 Vintage burgundy coupe that they restored. Welcome to the Club. No other information received from the membership committee.
Minutes from the January meeting accepted as printed in the newsletter.
Gregg Glaviano is working on a discrepancy regarding the Treasurer’s report. The ending balance for January, 2005 was not the starting balance for February, 2005.
In the last newsletter there was a list of names of members whose dues are due. As of 2-18-05 we have 38 paid members.
For our car show, we now have two Ford dealers on board! They are Midland Ford in Midland and All American Ford in Saginaw.
Dominic Glasgow & Yvonne Brown are
unable to continue as the trophy committee. If anyone would like to
volunteer to be on the committee please contact Stan Bentley (941) 473-0264
(Florida) or e-mail: rmb3909@earthlink.net
Basically the trophy committee selects a couple of trophy designs with the
price list and presents it to the Club for the final decision.

THE PREZ SEZ
MCMM has been contacted by the show committee and invited to participate in a new show at a new location for a new charity. The show is “Cruisin’ for a Cause” and is the first show of the season and will be held indoors at the Birch Run Expo Center. The charity is the Whaley Home for Children in Flint. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, April 16th and 17th. Our Club will have a free 10x10 display area. Our intent is to have members man the booth in 2-4 hour shifts to provide Club information to interested Mustangers. In addition, we can display our cars at NO FEE! So far, MCMM has 3 cars registered. Call me if you want an entry form sent to you.
At the February regular meeting the membership voted to participate with the information booth, to encourage members to display their cars and to authorize the Club to purchase a packet of 10 tickets for use by the members who volunteer to help at the information booth at the show. Therefore, I need volunteers to call me so we can coordinate their times to work and to get them their ticket. When contacted about this Gregg had a wonderful response; we need to do what we can to get our message out in the Flint area.
Bill Harris, TV 12 news anchor is one of the Board members. The show hours are: Friday 4/15 show set-up, Saturday, 4/16th 9 am - 9 pm and Sunday, 4/17th 9 am - 6 pm. We already have several volunteers and we need several more.
MCMM also has a firm date for our 2nd Annual Show & Shine. At the February meeting the membership in agreement with the Board selected Saturday, May 21st as the show date. It will be held at All American Ford on Bay Road in Saginaw. We have met with the Sales Manager. This should give us plenty of profile on the Bay Road corridor. Also, it is directly across the street from the “CAMARO-LESS” Draper Chevrolet!
Thank you. We plan to
see you at these shows!
