Here we go into another year. Many thanks to the people that have served as officers for our club the last two years. As I have said before, we are a Mustang club, but it is the people that truly make a difference.
A big thank you should go to Linda & Gary Riley for the wonderful job they did putting on our Christmas party. It was one of the best ever. When I saw Judy Mace & Rebecca Winter with their harps I knew that it was going to be a special night for us.
This is the time of year when people work on their cars, as we don’t drive them in the winter. Be especially careful with heat sources and flammable liquids. Dangerous fumes can build up fast to disastrous levels.
Dick Lebsack has put together a Chili potluck for Sat. Feb. 11th. This sounds like a great mid-winter break where we can all swap stories of the past and maybe even plan some things for the summer.
Before we left for Florida, Bill & Ada Hoard, Ruth & I got to spend an afternoon with Quenten & Pat Levitte at their home near Caro. They have a ‘65 Fastback that they have been working on for about two years. It has many performance parts, and should be on the road this summer. They have also acquired a ‘67 convertible which is in need of much work. It just happens to be a K code car that has a Paxton super charger. What a great acquisition!

Our Christmas Party of 2005 was a great success. The Four
Occasion’s Hall in Millington is a real nice setting for any party. The hall
is owned and operated by the family of our members Bill & Ada Hoard.
We would like to thank Gary & Linda Riley for chairing the job of putting
the party together. Things like arranging for the hall, shopping for party
gifts, favors, collecting dinner money, and all the other little details
that go into putting on a party.
We would like to thank Judy Rehmus for providing the beautiful table decorations. They were also used as gifts. If you lucky to be seated at a place with a special mark under the place mat then you got to take the decoration home.
Rebecca Winter and Judy Mace provided dinner music for us by playing their harps. What a nice touch for this holiday season. Ladies thank you for a job well done.
After dinner we played a MEAN game of musical chairs for first choice of the nice door prizes. You really had to watch out for yourself because our club members seem to be very competitive.
Ruth Bentley was armed with her camera, taking pictures of all the family groups. Thank you Ruth.
At the end of the festivities we had the Installation of Officers for our club.

THE PREZ SEZ
On behalf of the Board of Directors and me, we wish you a Happy New Year. I want to thank Gary Strappazon for his leadership, enthusiasm & energy he has put into our club.
I really enjoyed working with Gary and the BOD for the past 2 years. At the Christmas party we presented Gary with a plaque for his commitment he made to our club. Thank you very much Gary and thank you Linda for helping Gary. Gary will still be with us as a BOD member.
I also want to thank all the many members who made our 2005 events such a great success. The Show & Shine, strawberry shortcake meeting, Frankenmuth Showtime car show, KCQ Musicfest, club picnic, our car show, the hay ride and the Christmas party are just a few of the many fun times we had this year. Thanks to every member that got involved with the activities. Also our club was able to donate $1,000 to charity!
Your 2006 BOD would like your input for ideas, suggestions and involvement on anything that pertains to your club activities. I know we will have another great, fun year!
Our Christmas party at the Four Occasions Hall in Millington was a “huge, fun” time. Our salute goes to Linda & Gary Riley for planning this fun event. Judy Rehmus created the lovely table centerpieces. The pre-dinner harp music by Rebecca Winter and Judy Mace was pure delight. The prizes were very nice. In fact, Marge Hoffman won a 1 ½ ton floor jack in the musical chair game. She is going to use it to jack the sofa up when she needs to clean under it! Thanks again, to the Riley’s for putting the Christmas party together for about 45 members.
Charles Reinhardt, Vice President will introduce the “MCMM newsletter club member spotlight” in future newsletters. This will feature a member’s family and car. Watch for more information.
Our next meeting will be Monday, January 16, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, 1 Covered Bridge Lane, Frankenmuth, MI you will find the agenda in the newsletter.
Put this on your family calendar! The next family activity will be Saturday, February 11th from 1-4 pm at the Midland Community Center in Midland. It’s a Chili Potluck, featuring Mustang memorabilia, die cast car show, trade & swap lies or stories and eat chili. Another fun thing is SWIMMING in the giant swimming pool with big slide. The pool is available at $4 a person. You can leave your Mustang at home for this event. This will be another great opportunity to come and meet your club members and swap stories, shirts & Mustang toys. Put together a pot of chili (Hormel canned chili if you like) and bring a salad or dessert. Cost is $5 per family. The fee will help offset the cost of the room. The club is not paying for the room.
Keep smiling,
Dick Lebsack
FAREWELL ADDRESS
Members and friends of the Mustang Club of Mid-Michigan
For over two years now, Ruth has waited and prodded me to write my three
items for the Newsletter. Often I have been at the keyboard as the clock
hands are approaching 12 midnight on deadline day. Now, I have ASKED to put
in a few words.
I want to say thank you to everyone for the lovely plaque I was presented at
the Christmas party and Officer Installation on December 11, 2005. I have
enjoyed almost every minute of the two years as your president. I was
honored to have had your confidence in being elected for the two terms. I
feel we did a good job as a team leading YOUR club. We had a good team for
those two years. We have an equally good, if not a better team that will be
at the wheel starting January 1, 2006. So in closing, be active - this is
YOUR club. It is here for YOU! In one respect MCMM is like church; there is
no cl_b or no ch_rch with out U in it!
