TIPS/COMMENTS
BY STAN
It is that time of year when we celebrate the holidays and have great resolutions and expectations for the coming year. Hope you are all with your families for the holidays.
A big thank you should go to Gary Strappazzon who has done a great job for the club these past two years. It was not easy trying to do what you believe is the right thing to do. There are many phone calls and contacts that must be done that you never get reimbursed for. Many times you worry that you have forgotten something. And of course there are the things that never got done that you wanted to. All and all it was a good two years and we should be proud of what Gary and the Board did for our Club.
This is the time of the year when the dues are due. They are $20.00 and should be sent to Tim Mace by January 1st. Address is listed below. Where does the money go from the dues? Well most of it goes to send you the newsletter each month. That includes the printing and the postage which is going up next year. What is left goes to help run the club and put on our annual show. This year we should all try and get a sponsor to help fund the annual show. None of the officers or board members is ever paid. We do trade newsletters with other clubs in the Michigan area. This enables us to communicate with them and also know what is happening in other clubs.
The Christmas party is Dec. 11th at 2 pm at the Four Occasions Hall in Millington. The cost is $15 per person. Please send money to Linda Riley.
Things that I have heard that are going on:
Still trying to get the club as a non profit organization.
Taking over the Friday night cruise at the "Be Cool" Show in Bay City.
Your views and feedback are always welcome.
Remember, don’t be a stranger.
By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.
Junk is something you’ve kept for years and throw away three weeks before
you need it.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to
be amused.

THE PREZ SEZ
Season’s Greetings:
As I write this, the turkey soup is almost gone. The Mustangs are put away and thoughts are turning toward several months of withdrawal before we can get the Pony’s out again.
The leadership will transition to a new team that we just elected in October. Some new things are planned and some traditions will continue. Some new and innovative things will emerge. I have been given a hint of some so hang on, this will continue to be fun.
As a Club, we have increased our membership numbers over the past two years to the present 68 families. This is the largest number in my 8 years in the Club. I know the President-elect and the Membership Chairman have some ideas they are working on to grow us even more. We have developed some good working relationships with some of the local Ford dealers and we are expecting greater things in the future.
Please keep in mind the MCMM Christmas Party and Officer Installation on December 1st. Last year’s party was fun and this year’s promises to be equal or better.
As I leave office, I must say a sincere thank you. I have been honored to have been your president. I must say thanks also, to the Board. No one president of a club can (or should) do it all alone. I must say I never had to even think of working alone. Our Board and membership were always there to help. And of course, last but, first a very big thank you should go to my loving wife, Linda. Her love, coaching and belief have been an asset and are truly appreciated.

LADIES CORNER
MILLION-DOLLAR FUDGE
RECIPE PROVIDED BY RUTH BENTLEY
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 giant (7 oz) Hershey chocolate bar
1 can evaporated milk (broken into pieces)
1 tsp. vanilla 1 – 7 oz. jar marshmallow crème
1 tbs. oleo 1 2/3 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
4 cups sugar (I use more)
Combine chips and broken candy bar into large
mixing bowl and set aside.
Combine milk, marshmallow crème, sugar and oleo in a heavy 4-qt. saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil; boil and stir for 8 minutes.
Remove from heat, immediately add to chocolate in mixing bowl, beating until completely melted. Blend in vanilla and nuts.
Pour mixture into a buttered 9x13 pan. Cool. Makes 4 ½ pounds.
Enjoy!
