    Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Cookies

    VARIATIONS ON A COOKIE
    RECIPE PROVIDED BY KATE BARNUM

    Cream together:
  • 2 sticks (1/2 lb.) margarine or butter (I use Imperial margarine)
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 2 TBS. vanilla
  • 2 TBS. cinnamon
Add 3 eggs and beat for 4 minutes (and no less than 4 minutes)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Sir together and ADD to the above mixture:
  • 6 cups sifted flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp soda

Mix until very well mixed. Dough will be sort of dry. Add 4 cups chocolate chips and 2 cups chopped nuts, mix well. Use a cookie dough scoop and place dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes. When cookies are removed leave on cookie sheet for an additional 4 minutes. Makes 6 to 6 ½ dozen LARGE cookies. Cinnamon is the secret ingredient. Enjoy!
